Elmira Two Time Champions!!

For the second year in a row, Team Valle 15u has taken home the title at the Dunn Classic at historic Dunn Field in Elmira, NY. The boys started out slow with a tie and a loss the first two games, but came back to win their last game in pool play at a score of 10-8. Once the playoffs arrived on Sunday, Team Valle started playing up to their ability, with a convincing semi-final 10-2 win sending them to the championship feeling very confident! The bats stayed hot in the finals against the Upstate Chill (the team that gave Team Valle their only loss), as they jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first inning. With Team Valle’s Max Carver on the mound shutting the opposition down, the offense continued to thrive putting up  8 more runs giving Team Valle the 13-1 mercy rule win after only 4 innings of play. We are incredibly proud of the coaches and players having so much success in their first tournament of the year. Way to start the season out right!!!
